Aimée Estes discovered her passion for jewelry design shortly after attending her first metalsmithing class. In 2003, Aimée launched Unit 4-e, a jewelry and paper design company. Not confined by traditional design principles, Aimée creates hand made jewelry that is modern, simple, strong, and eye catching. Her love of bright colors and bold design shine through in her jewelry and paper creations. Aimée finds inspiration from children’s books, geometric shapes, textiles, the wonders of nature, unique prints, toys, color, and every day objects. Aimee’s love for anything and everything paper sparked her to launch a brilliant and whimsical line of stationery for Unit 4-e.
Currently, Aimee lives and works just outside Chicago with her husband Joe, son Owen, and her six pound fur ball dog named Miso Liu Liu.
